Sometimes government departments, agencies, or offices need additional personnel resources for a longer period of time. In these cases we can provide multi-skilled teams to work at client sites. From a management perspective, these teams are self-contained in that they include a supervisory structure while overall project direction comes from government personnel. This type of support frees government personnel to focus on policy issues while ensuring that both new and established programs operate efficiently.
Status reports are delivered frequently and in a timely manner. Paltech personnel regularly visit on-site teams and their government clients and maintain steady communication that ensures that any issues or new requirements are addressed quickly and completely.
One Federal Department, for example, asked Paltech to help plan, develop, organize, manage and staff its central training organization, providing common-needs training department-wide. Our comprehensive approach and professional expertise in training continues to add value to such projects. The results are efficient training administration and accurate assessments of training outcomes.
Challenge: To support the development of national priorities and enhance the effectiveness of child abuse and neglect programs in states and communities, HHS provides technical assistance, including conferences and meetings, publications, and consulting. In 2005 Paltech was selected to provide program management and support for this effort. Challenges included cancellation by a keynote speaker just two weeks prior to a major conference.
Solution: Paltech’s information technology infrastructure, management systems, and deep network of professional contacts all were crucial to finding a replacement keynote speaker, and to the timely production of conference reports, meeting summaries, and monthly program reports.
Result: The 16th National Conference on Child Abuse and Neglect, held during April 2007 in Portland, Oregon, included more than 1,600 conference participants, 200 speakers, 50 co-sponsors and 40 exhibitors. Paltech was credited by many for success of this and other OCAN events.
