We also are called upon to provide administrative staff, either to supplement government personnel or to fully staff an administrative office. Sometimes this is simply the most effective use of government resources. In other situations the government needs workers with specialized skills and count on Paltech to supply them.
In either case, Paltech provides individuals and teams known for their “can do” attitudes, their outstanding work ethic and commitment, and their attention to detail. Paltech employees are skilled communicators and team players. They are professional and generally contribute to a constructive workplace atmosphere.
Administrative staff members take direction from government personnel when onsite. They are supervised by Paltech personnel who maintain regular contact with on-site workers, provide practical support and stay well informed to ensure client satisfaction.
Challenge: The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Office of Head Start (OHS) needed technical assistance to improve Head Start programs nationwide by facilitating the adoption of best practices, identifying new initiatives in early childhood development, and recommending action. Paltech was selected to serve as the National Resource Center (now known as the Head Start Resource Center) established to accomplish these objectives.
Solution: Paltech has provided technical guidance, produced 35 publications, performed myriad special projects, written analyses and reports on early childhood development and education, created an array of training materials, and planned and managed eight major institutes and more than 100 smaller meetings for groups ranging from a half-dozen to nearly 4,000.
Result: Based on our performance, particularly in the realms of materials development and conference management (reviews have earned Paltech ratings of "6" on a five-point scale), Paltech was successful on two subsequent contract competitions with the HHS ACF Office of Head Start.
