U.S. Army Distributed Learning Education and Training Products; AVENGER Course
Challenge
The Army selected Paltech (one of six prime contractors) to develop a three-phase, interactive set of multimedia courses to prepare AVENGER crew members to use this mobile air defense artillery system safely and effectively. Our tasks included analysis, instructional design, graphic design, programming, quality control, and project management. The task had to be completed within 12 months, including multiple reviews by Army personnel.
Solution
Our team designed and developed distance learning courseware including simulations, drills, case studies, hands-on scenario exercises, video and audio conferencing and email collaboration. Our solution was based on careful needs analysis, collaboration with SMEs, coordination between instructional systems designers and experts in media asset development, meticulous and thorough quality assurance, and multiple forms of validation following implementation of the program. When review proved difficult for widely dispersed Army personnel, Paltech established an efficient on-line review system.
Result
More than 300 deliverables are being completed on schedule and within budget, with favorable feedback from our customer. “Your online review system is a huge time saver for us!”
