DoS, Foreign Service Institute – Student Training Management System (STMS) and LMS
Challenge
The client needed to capture, integrate, and maintain information and data on its training programs in a way that would interact with key database applications. Another requirement was an LMS to coordinate and facilitate distance learning course registration, scheduling, delivery, tracking, assessment and collaboration.
Solution
Paltech worked with a COTS system vendor to modify their product to meet FSI’s STMS need. Once the system was created, we assisted with data conversion into the SQL database, generated graphical user interfaces for each area, and maintained and upgraded the system and databases. We researched technical requirements and assessed capabilities of potential products; led the evaluation process leading to acquisition; and installed and implemented the LMS.
Result
All deliveries were accomplished on or before schedule, and Paltech has received multiple letters of appreciation for our support of crucial elements of its training program
